The RUDN University Ball

The RUDN University Ball is a landmark event in the cultural life of RUDN University students, uniting traditions, arts and the pursuit of mutual understanding. The project is implemented by the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) in collaboration with the International Ball Association.

This is not merely a contemporary dance ball, but a large‑scale educational project aimed at introducing RUDN University students to the culture of etiquette, the art of dance, and the values of intercultural dialogue.

Every year, preparations commence in September and involve more than 1,200 students. The programme includes:

Dance masterclasses — intensive training in classical and contemporary partner dancing;

Etiquette lectures — an introduction to the rules of conduct at social events, communication norms, and dress code requirements.

Following rehearsals and selection rounds, the top 250 students are invited to the main event — those who have demonstrated diligence, grace, and a genuine interest in the culture of communication.

The RUDN University Ball offers:

an opportunity to acquire new skills and build self‑confidence;

a chance to meet like‑minded individuals from diverse countries and cultures;

a contribution to strengthening friendly ties between peoples through the beauty of dance and the courtesy of communication.
